Scheduling your Content

Scheduling your Content

1.    From your Playlist, Select your media item using the checkbox and Click the Media Settings button, a new window will appear called “Edit Item”

Apply Transitions: If you want to add a transition effect for how the media item will appear (such as zoom, fade, bounce, etc.), you can use the “Transition” drop-down menu. These transitions work similarly to those in PowerPoint presentations.

Set End Time: By clicking the “Ends at” checkbox, drop-down menus will appear for selecting a specific date and time for when the media item will stop playing. This works similarly to the “Starts at” checkbox, where you can specify a start date and time.

2.      From this screen you can provide a Schedule for displaying your content. Click on the “Scheduler” checkbox, you will now see new checkboxes appear for use with scheduling the media item, these are: “Starts at”, “Ends at” and “Time Window” and “Recurrence Pattern”.

You can set the “Starts at” & “Ends at” fields to play a media item at a specific time on a specific day to another time on the same or on another day, e.g. Say you wanted a video to play next week for one week ONLY, you could use these both these fields combined.

3.    For more advanced scheduling options: click “Recurrence Pattern”, New checkbox options will appear: “Daily”, “Weekly”,” Yearly”

The “All/None” checkbox inverts whether the media item should be played on the selected criteria of checkboxes or to not play the media item on the selected criteria of checkboxes. E.g.: All dates checked with “All/None” will play on the dates that are checked, while all dates checked with “All/None” unchecked won’t play on the dates that are checked. This saves you from having to check multiple checkboxes.
